In this video, I took a bunch of clips handheld in LG V30’s new cine mode, which allows you to bake in color grading while you shoot the video. Now, for those of you who have tried to color grade smartphone video footage, you know how it is near impossible to do it without losing quality. But with LG V30’s new cine mode, you can literally get that cinematic colors without losing any quality. And there is LG’s new LOG mode which will also allow you to color grade better, I will have a video on that too.
Also stabilization is pretty decent considering I used one hand for most of the clips. Now, my next test will involve actually using some actual camera gear(such as gimbals and fluid heads) and I think the results will be amazing.
Bokeh looks excellent, one of the best I have seen on a smartphone camera and very muy sharp!
So far, this is the best 4K video camera I have ever used on a smartphone. LG has come long ways of improving video on smartphones, way ahead of everyone else.
