Mobile World Congress, the biggest and the most followed tech event in the world. This year the event started in late February at Barcelona, Spain and many smartphone companies showcased their upcoming products in front of all. Companies like Samsung, Sony, Huawei, Asus and other showcased their future smartphones but behind that all there is a company who held a private session beside the MWC 2018 for showing off one of its upcoming handsets. The company is LG, within the event space LG organized a private room for a selected group of invitees with whom the company shared first look and hands-on of an upcoming handset named ‘LG G7.’
A confirm or an official announcement is still awaited from the company, but some details and informational reports suggest that the device was marked as G7 and could be a successor to company’s last launch of G6. The company was expected of dropping its ‘G’ series this year, but this recent news suggests that the company might be extending the series with some more launches in it.
The image showcased above shows that the smartphone mimics the design of Apple’s newly launched iPhone X that comes with an 18:9 aspect ratio with a narrow notch for all sensors at the top of the screen. Just like infinity display this concept of the notch is on trend. Many more companies like Asus, OUKITEL has introduced such smartphones at MWC 2018.
Some reports also project that there is no such showcase as of now and company might launch it as its next year’s flagship.
But still as per the confirmations which we have and the image mentioned above gives a rough idea that the smartphone will be around 6-inch and with a resolution of 1440 x 3120 along with an aspect ratio of 19:5:9.
With a look which resembles iPhone X, the smartphone features a power-packed processor Qualcomm Snapdragon 845. Reports also reveal that the smartphone will come in two variants, i.e., 4GB/64GB and 6GB/128GB. There could be the presence of dual camera just like iPhone X. The rear camera will be of 16-megapixel with an aperture of f/1.6.
The design of the smartphone mimics iPhone X, and this notch comprised screen is in trend nowadays. Yesterday Asus also launched a new device named Asus ZenFone 5 that resembles the iPhone X from every point.
