During activities August 27-28 at the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, Expedition 45 Soyuz Commander Sergei Volkov of the Russian Federal Space Agency (Roscosmos) and visiting crew members Andreas Mogensen of the European Space Agency and Aidyn Aimbetov of the Kazakh Space Agency (Kazcosmos) continued preparations for launch to the International Space Station with a final fit check in their Soyuz TMA-18M spacecraft and other pre-flight preparations. Volkov, Mogensen and Aimbetov are set to launch on Sept. 2, Kazakh time. Volkov will spend six months on the station, while Mogensen and Aimbetov will be on board the station for just ten days.
