Jane Goodall, la célebre primatóloga inglesa y Mensajera de la Paz de Naciones Unidas, ha compartido en CosmoCaixa Barcelona su valiosa experiencia de vida con más de 500 personas. Su sereno testimonio, fruto de más de 50 años estudiando a los chimpancés y luchando por su conservación, es una llamada a la esperanza por el futuro de la Tierra y los seres que la habitamos.

En esta conferencia, la Dra. Goodall hace un repaso de su carrera, desde su primera expedición a la Reserva de Gombe en 1960, hasta los esfuerzos por implicar a las comunidades locales en la protección de su medio ambiente. A pesar de que a lo largo de estos años ha visto desaparecer muchos de los bosques y animales que lucha por proteger, su mensaje es positivo: juntos, podemos cambiar el mundo.

Hoy en día, miles de personas en todo el mundo se han unido a los esfuerzos del Instituto Jane Goodall por la protección de los chimpancés, sus hábitats y las personas que allí habitan. Jane Goodall transmite mucho más que un mensaje sobre la conservación del Planeta: transmite amor por la vida, pasión por su trabajo y una contagiosa ilusión. Jane Goodall, the renowned English primatologist and United Nations Messenger of Peace, has shared in CosmoCaixa Barcelona her valuable life experience with over 500 people. Her serene testimony, a result of more than 50 years studying chimpanzees and fighting for its preservation, is a call to hope for the future of the Earth and the beings that inhabit it.

In this lecture, Dr. Goodall takes a look at her career from her first expedition to the Gombe Reserve in 1960, to the efforts to involve local communities in protecting their environment. Although over these years she has been how many of the forests and animals she is fighting to protect have been destroyed, her message is positive: together we can change the world.

Today, thousands of people around the world have joined the efforts of the Jane Goodall Institute for the protection of chimpanzees, their habitats and the people who live there. Jane Goodall conveys much more than a message on the Conservation of the Planet: she spreads love for life, passion for her work and an infectious enthusiasm.
