Dr. John Nash, the famous Nobel prize winner, is said to have shot “a candle through a thick piece of wood” with a home made gun when he was a boy.
Now that the Christmas season is over, it just so happens that there are plenty of left over candles here at The Slingshot Channel. A perfect occasion to test if it is REALLY possible to shoot a candle through a piece of wood!
Of course we have to use rubber instead of gun powder as a propellant, which means we can use a thinner board – but still, wood is pretty hard, and a candle is brittle and soft.
Can we prove that Dr. Nash is in fact not a liar? See for yourself.
A “The Slingshot Channel” production.
