1. The pain-o-meter is a real-time reflection of the pain signal sent through the nerves in my legs. It was measured through the insertion of a small needle probe hooked up to a galvanometer. No, I’m not serious.
2. The anesthesia didn’t ‘take’ on the right toe because it was so infected. Lack of bloodflow prevented the good stuff from getting to where it needed to go.
