For my birthday today (62), I got a Ultra-Micro J-3 Cub by ParkZone (Horizon Hobbies), I decided to put some lights on it before flying it for the occasion.. The lights are ultra bright LEDs (1.7 volt) reduced with 100 ohm resisters, so the single 120 MAH Lipo would run them all. The LED’s can be obtained from Here are mostly still pictures of how I did the lights, plus some flights. The gym is a 1/2 court and very small, as you will see. The cub is pretty fast. Much faster than the Cessna 210. Being a rudder steering only airplane, make sure to keep your speed up on landing, or you will snap roll when rudder and elevator meet up (when your trying to glide too far)! Otherwise, the plane flies very precisely and smartly. It easily will do a loop, but does a pretty nice snap roll too, as you will see.
Thanks to HobbyTown USA, in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, USA for getting this plane in for me. It was $89 for the bind and fly. Mine bound up to my DX6i perfectly.
