According to a report published by Digital Trends, the HTC U11 Eyes smartphone is speculated to feature a 6-inch screen with 1,080 x 2,160 Super LCD3 display. The handset will come in three primary color variants, including Black, Silver, and Red. The smartphone will further pack a dual front-facing camera system, which resembles the Eyes. “On the back, you’ll find a single camera with dual-LED and dual-tone flash. Right below it is a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner and on the bottom is a USB-type C port for fast charging,” reports Digital Trends. The last time that HTC launched a smartphone under the ‘Eye’ banner was back in 2014. We don’t know yet whether there will be any resemblance in two smartphones. The U11 Eye seems to be made out metal glass along with rounded corners and extremely thin bezels.

The smartphone is expected to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 652 octa-core processor along with 3,930mAh battery. As far as storage is concerned, the smartphone would offer 4GB of RAM along with 64GB of ROM. It also has an IP67 certification when it comes to water and dust resistance. Some users may be disappointed to know that it will run Android Nougat instead of Oreo.

Price and availability

The smartphone is expected to be launched on January 15, for a starting price of $510.
