It has been tested before, even by The Mythbusters (one of our favorite shows): Can you kill somebody with ice as ammo?
Guns obviously won’t work, as Adam and Jamie demonstrated. The bullets are too brittle and do not withstand the pressure of both the expanding hot gases and the target impact.
But what if a nice big chunk of ice is shot from a rubber based weapon? The acceleration is a lot less abrupt, yet the terminal velocity can be substantial.
