Today, I will show you how to easily and quickly root your Google Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL. Before we begin, rooting involves unlocking bootloader, which erases EVERYTHING on your phone so please make a backup before preceding!
This root method should also work for future Android versions but this guide is based on Android 8.0.0 Oreo.

Note: Please DO NOT TRY ON Verizon Pixel 2 or Pixel 2 XL as they have LOCKED BOOTLOADERS. If you want to use on Verizon, grab the unlocked version, which works flawless on Verizon.
