In this video, we take a closer look at HTC One M9’s poor auto focus abilities with its camera and how to fix it with manual mode.
One thing the HTC One M9 has over other cameras is the ability to adjust both ISO and shutter speed (something missing with S6 & S6 Edge) which does work quite well and you can see it does take better photos than the auto-focus mode.
Now, I am not sure if auto-focus problem is hardware-related or software-related, but I think it is fixable with a camera firmware upgrade provided by HTC, I certainly hope they can as the video recording is 100% dependent on auto focus and sadly, video is pretty much broke atm.
