Abhishek Singh created the Holo Messenger app to recreate the tool made famous in the “Star Wars” films. But Singh’s app doesn’t use alien technology — all you need is an iPhone to record a message.
Holo Messenger is an augmented reality app that adds a bluish, slightly transparent tinge to whatever the camera sees. When you record a regular video and send it, your friend receives a holographic message on their phone. You can also send holographic messages from specific films.
So far, the app is only available on iOS from Singh’s website. Android users will have to wait to get their own version. Help them, Abhishek Singh — you’re their only hope!
