Here’s how to uninstall Snapchat updates

Popular photo-sharing app Snapchat has formally pushed out yet another update to its platform. The company is known to make consistent changes to its platform, in hopes of making the experience for its users more interesting and at least good enough for them, not to flock to its arch-rival apps – Instagram and Facebook.

The latest update pretty much redesigns the ‘Stories’ section of the platform. For those who aren’t aware, the ‘Stories’ section is what showcases photo and video content from other users, which includes friends as well as professional publishers.

As noted by Express, when the company brings about changes to its platform, there are many times when it is a positive change. However, many times, the change is not welcomed as the entire experience is ruined. The ‘Stories’ feature allows a content to appear for over twenty-four hours before they are permanently deleted.

It appears that Snapchat has decided to delete the ‘Stories’ page altogether. The content can now be viewed as private messages through single feed only. The users of Snapchat are clearly not happy about it. “In the handful of countries where the update is already available, including the UK, Australia, and Canada, users have hammered the App Store listing with negative reviews,” notes Express.

According to Sensor Tower (Research mobile analytics firm), roughly eighty-three percent of App Store reviews for the given update fall in the negative category. Users have ended up giving only one or two stars to the update. There are many users who have even taken to Twitter to reply to Snapchat that they aren’t happy with the change. “The new update to Snapchat makes my brain hurts… if I wanted to watch a bunch of paid commercials I would turn on my TV. Time to switch over to Instagram stories permanently,” one tweet reads.
