You might be aware of Google new dark theme mode for Google Maps and Gmail. The company has officially rolled out the update for Gmail and Google Maps and here’s how you can explore this new dark mode. The company has launched a dark mode update before the launch of Android 10 release but many users who installed the updated Google apps reported some segments or apps are still lacking this dark mode option.

But now this dark mode feature or option seems to be appearing for everyone with the latest pack of Google apps. if you have updated your smartphone to the latest Android 10 and still lacking in the dark mode option then you should perform this little task to experience the new interface of Google Apps.

Some people reported new themes options in the new Gmail app settings including a dark mode. Follow the below-mentioned steps to get the dark mode in your Gmail app.

1. Open the Gmail Android application
2. Tap the three stacked lines “hamburger” icon.
3. Tap on to “General Settings”
4. Look for the “theme” header
5. Now choose the theme which you want to choose. Dark, Light or System default.

If you’re still lacking the dark mode option in your Gmail app then you’re on the lower version of Gmail. You need to upload your Gmail application using PlayStore. After updating your application you’ll be able to access the new dark theme mode in the Gmail application.

This is also true that the feature may not be available for everyone like the people who cannot upgrade their Android version to the latest one as Android 10.
