Google’s official app updated with new features; Know all about them here

The recent update that Google released on its official application went on to reveal a lot of in-development features. As per reports, there were numerous gesture updates targeted explicitly towards Pixel Buds. These updates came up right ahead of ‘R0utines for Assistant.’ Now, a new report by Google 9 to 5 claims that the app’s latest version numbered 7.24 has officially entered the beta channel. The update arrives with custom-made ‘Routines,’ and a new ‘pinned match’ features that will benefit sports lovers.

‘Pinned matches’ for sports scores

The Google app’s latest version 7.24 version consists of a new feature that will reportedly allow users to pin their summaries for sports. Furthermore, it will also enable users to gain access to follow-up scores. In other words, one can access Maps or YouTube while remaining on the application. “According to three images included in this update, “Pinned matches” will take the form of a bubble that notes team scores and time remaining/overlapped,” notes 9 to 5 Google.

Custom Routines for Google Assistant

Earlier last week, Routines rolled out a set of six preset commands that were well suited to be a part of Google Assistant. It would take care of user’s numerous activities including waking up, commuting and even returning home. The version 7.24 of the application will include a string of features that will detail out all of these changes.

Merged Search field and toolbar

In the latest version 7.24, users have managed to ensemble aspects of the combined search field and toolbar for Search. The list now includes categories such as Images as well as News. Users can just drop the options down and access specific tools like duration and time. At the moment, these tools and filters are located underneath the search bar.
