Are you fond of creating a different type of music? So here is Google helping you in doing that. Chrome Music Lab has launched a new music creation tool called Song Maker. Google made it a browser-based platform that allows you to program loops of two different instruments of your choice. And later you can save it or send it to someone else for collaboration.

Google, Song Maker

The platform is made by the Chrome Music Lab which was founded by Google Creative Lab in 2016. A series of web-based experiments this Song Maker will let you play around with music and sounds differently. The tool features Oscillators that allows you to squish and stretch a sound and also includes Sound Waves, which shows a visual representation of how sound vibrations travel through the air.

Google’s song maker is quite straightforward and easy to use. It features the following format divided into two sections, one for melody which performs the central part and the second one is of rhythm, placed at the bottom.

The platform gives you an option to choose from different musical options; you can draw your notes using your mouse, keyboard or finger, depending on your device.

If you’re not much aware of the music making and wants to create some music, then you can even use the MIDI keyboard or can enable the mic button to sing into Song maker. A hovering icon will appear on the left-hand side to show what note you’re hitting.

Google made it more enjoying the use of customizing section. You can adjust the tempo with a sliding bar, can even set an octave range along with the length of your loop. One can also set how many beats he wants per bar. Collectively the tool is pretty enjoying and useful.
