Google is Working on a 5G Pixel Smartphone: True or Rumor?

Published on October 9, 2019

We’re less than a month away from the most awaited event ‘Made by Google 2019’ and here’s something we have in our pocket to share with you on the Pixel smartphones. With the launch of the upcoming Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 XL, the company is also working on bringing a 5G Pixel smartphone. And if we are not wrong the Pixel 4 would be the same.

Before the official unveiling of Google’s new hardware lineup, it is in the hype that the company is bringing the new smartphone with the most advanced 5G connectivity. New renders and leaks are coming not on daily basis rather on an hourly basis. The company might be planning to unveil its first 5G Pixel device in its hardware event on October 15.

Nikkie Asian Review’s sources tell the publication that the 5G phone is already under production and has already been done with its testing phase. While the releasing time isn’t confirmed yet. Either the phone will be announced with the launch of Google Pixel 4 and Pixel 4 CL next week or in the upcoming spring of 2020.

This 5G Pixel phone is expected to come in the first quarter of 2020 with the name of ‘Pixel 4a’ and that too with a budget-friendly price tag. If the company will make an official announcement for the 5G phone in the next week’s event then this would be the first to be announced by an American company to support the new wireless standards.

Apple would be the only company that can release the 5G phone near about to the launch of this Google powered 5G phone. But surely the one who will come first will clinch the tag of a first American company to touch these heights of wireless connectivity.
