ali kindly supplied the following info on the model,
she was built by trond hammerstad from norway and is the only person in the world to have built this model from the airworld modelbau kit at the moment ! and what an amazing model it is – lol,
she is an Airworld Modelbau kit 1:5 scale
Wingspan 176 cm
Length 284 cm
Weight 23 kg (without fuel)
9 ltrs fuel capacity (2×4,5 ltrs tanks)
One B300F turbine with 320N thrust
Nav lights, landinglights and afterburner lights.
The model has the same wing airfoil as the fullsize!
Drumbrakes on mainwheels etc.
The colour scheme is from an F2A, stationed in Germany (RAF Gutersloh) in late 1960s.
Its not easy to estimate the building hours, but 3-400 hours I guess. (it was a winter build 2011/2012, the maiden flight was may 2012)
All scale details are hand made after studying lots of pictures and books from the full size EEL.

I WAS LUCKY TO CAPTURE THIS FLIGHT AS ORIGINALLY ALI WAS WORRIED ABOUT LANDING HER ON GRASS AND POSSIBLY DAMAGING THE LANDING GEAR AND DIDNT WANT TO TAKE HER UP !
HE OBVIOUSLY HAD A CHANGE OF MIND AND PUT ON AN AMAZING DISPLAY WITH THE BIG BIRD
BRILLIANT VERTICAL PERFORMANCE AND FAST LOW FLY- BYS AND THE AFTER BURNER LIGHTS ALL ADDED TO THE REALISM !
THE LANDING WAS A GREASER WITH NO PROBS AT ALL !
DAVE BISHOP KEPT US ALL ENTERTAINED WITH INFO ON THE MODEL AS WELL AS THE REAL AIRCRAFT AND JUDGING BY THE APPLAUSE FROM THE CROWD AT THE END EVERYONE LOVED THE DISPLAY,
