Galaxy S5: Water Damage? How to Evaporate the Water using Uncooked Rice

I have here a Samsung Galaxy S5 which got some water damage. I did a water test and unfortunately when i took the phone out of the water vase the screen started flickering. Immediately I flipped the phone over and popped off the back cover case, then i removed the battery.

Here is how my phone got water damaged:

I waited for 10 or 20 minutes put the battery back in and tried to power the phone back up. (MISTAKE- Dont do this as you can fry the circuit board). Anyway when i tried to boot the phone back on i got nothing, no vibrate or anything. The phone was completely dead at this point. So again i took out the battery and put my phone and battery in a zip lock bag of uncooked rice. I left it for 4 days (1 or 2 days should be good enough) and today when i went to power it on, it powered on.

However i now get no display. Its stays completely black but everything else seems to be in working order. I believe i just need a screen replacement at this point. Better then a paper weight. I do believe that if i did not try to turn it on after waiting 10 or 20 minutes that i would have a fully functional phone. The same thing happened to my S3 and S4 but those phones till this day are still running perfectly.
