FPV view vs Classic R/C view. An Orientation exercise with points and tips from NightFlyyer.04:33

*Read please. In my experience, beginners and my students of model aviation find orientation the biggest problem while standing on the ground flying by eyesight to Aircraft.
It is quite unlike FPV or full scale pilot’s views. In Classic R/C flights, we have to see where the plane is and then move the controls in the right directions.

Flying straight out has a natural feeling, but my students always have a problem turning around and flying back with them and the transmitter facing the aircraft. The mind has to be trained to do this.
With time, my technique to save this diminishes outwardly, until there is an emergency. Then I use it to save the aircraft.

This video shows how I teach the new pilots to get re-oriented and also a tip about rudder and Knife Edge Maneuvers.

There are many ways to try to keep the mind oriented, but my technique does not require thinking, as somehow as soon as your transmitter (The Cockpit) with your plane, all becomes well automatically! Try it.

Also, I find myself shifting weight on each leg, depending on the direction I am flying. Weight on left foot is Right to Left and weight on right foot is Left to right. Again, this is my way in the way of many.
Thanks kindly for watching and we hope you enjoyed the fun.

Happy Flying,
