GLENN SENT THIS INFO OVER ON THE TEXAN –
It is a scaled up Brian Taylor plan to 1:3.5. 138* wingspan. It uses a borrowed canopy and cowl from a french kit of the same scale (cant remember the name of the kit) Powered by a Moki 215 with a menz 32×18 propellor. Futaba radio all round and weighs in at 23kg. The Moki is stock but with an electronic fuel pump. The markings and colour scheme are, i’m afraid, just made up by myself – technically wrong but I kinda liked it. The purests have caught me out on the youtube film ! The retract problem over the weekend turned out to be just an out of shape oleo leg causing the wheel to jam in the well! hopefully sorted for 2015. THE UNDERCARRIAGE LEG WOULDN’T COME DOWN ON THIS FLIGHT SO GLENN TRIED DIFFERENT TECHNIC’S TO GET THE LEG TO COME DOWN BUT WITH NO JOY, SO GLENN BROUGHT HER IN FOR A PERFECT BELLY LANDING WITH HIS HARVARD AT GRANSDEN WITH NO DAMAGE TO THE MODEL !
