At the 2008 International Food Machinery and Technology Exhibition Japan, Nikko exhibited their FlexPicker which is a waterproof robot that can pack food automatically due to its built in camera. The camera takes 200 shots per minute and gathers information about the shape and position to assist the robot in picking up and packaging the product. Since it is waterproof, the FlexPicker can be cleaned easily to maintain sanitary conditions.
