Today launches Instant Articles. This is its long-rumored initiative for its app to host articles from publishers so they load immediately in the app, rather than forcing someone to click out and wait for a website to load. The program will start with launch partners including The New York Times, BuzzFeed, and National Geographic. Not only will their stories load up to 10X faster in the feed, they’ll also be able to use rich media embeds like audio-captioned photos and zoomable video.
