Once a year, for just 48 hours, Germans are allowed to make some noise outside of a shooting range… of course you have to use certified blanks or firecrackers, no live rounds are allowed (for good reasons).
Naturally, you can fire blanks with a slingshot – but they often will not go off. Rim fire rounds work a lot better than center fire cartridges, but even those often fail – this video shows how to cure that problem.
Last not least, you can also see how easy it is to make a fun target with blanks. Hitting the target creates a nice fat bang!
