NASA astronaut Kjell Lindgren, Russian cosmonaut Oleg Kononenko and Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency astronaut Kimiya Yui will launch to the International Space Station from the Baikonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan on May 26. They will join NASA astronaut Scott Kelly, Russian cosmonaut and station commander Gennady Padalka and Russian cosmonaut Mikhail Kornienko as members of Expedition 44. They are scheduled to remain aboard the space station as part of Expedition 45 until returning to Earth in November.
