Magnetism from electricity.
Make a coil with 50-60 turns of insulated copper wire and hang a razor blade and sewing needle in its center. On passing current the coil will become an electromagnet and the razor blade and sewing needle will be oriented towards its field. On changing the direction of current the razor blade and sewing needle will turn the other way.
