The Dyson DC59 cordless vacuum has 10 times the suction power at the cleaner head compared to the Gtech AirRAM*. A power dense digital motor spinning at 110,000rpm generates powerful airflow while 2 Tier Radial cyclones create high centrifugal forces to spin dust and dirt out of the air.

Watch Alex Knox, Dyson’s Director of Engineering, put the two vacuums head to head at Dyson’s Research Design and Development facility in Wiltshire, UK. DC59 uses patented carbon fiber filaments to make cleaning easy, cleaning better across all floor types than the Gtech AirRAM. And cleaning doesn’t stop at the floor — DC59’s unique format means it can be lifted up top for cleaning cobwebs, while a long wand detaches for cleaning out cars.

*Tested against upright market, dust-loaded, across carpets (ASTM F608), hard floors (ASTM F2607), and hard floors with crevices (IEC 60312-1 5.2, 5.9).
