Dry Eyes / Blepharospasm: What works for me: Hot Compresses, BUT you need to do it much longer!!!!!

UPDATE NOV 2014: I stopped using my Elasto Gel Mask for 2 months. I noticed i started blinking more and my eyes were super dry again. I thought maybe it was because i moved to a new area. But after a few days doing my regime again im back to more comfort with my eyes and blinking a hell of alot less. Fyi.

This works for me. If you suffer from dry eyes, try to use a hot compress first. You simply get a washcloth, run it under hot water, then strain the water, then let it rest on your eyes while laying down. I use to do this at night before I went to sleep. The thing is, the washcloths will only stay hot for a couple minutes and a couple minutes is not long enough for you to feel any relief (at least later in the night and the next day). You have to do it at least three times. From my experience, I need to leave a hot compress on my eyes for at least 5 minutes to really feel an affect. I no longer have my eye sticking together at night or in the morning. I can also bare wearing contact much longer now.

So, if you have dry eyes, try the hot compress. If that works, invest in one those gel masks for your eyes. This way you leave out the mess and inconvenience, plus it last almost fifteen minutes and you can even sleep with them on. I paid $18 for mine. Link below.
