solar powered clothes drying. simple DIY video shows how to set up a clothes dryer using a solar powered fan and a drying rack (no heating elements or tumblers required). using “windtunnel” design – it only takes 2 to 3 hours to fully dry clothes. fan can be solar powered or plugged into wall current. fan draws 100 watts (versus 3000 watts or more to dry your clothes in an electric clothes dryer.) the rack can hold up to 36 items. more than one rack can be used. this setup works best in dry or semi-dry climates. note: the more you can incorporate the “windtunnel” design, the faster the clothes will dry.
