Pre-symptom breast cancer (and other types of cancer) could be detected in the future by a new, nanoscale method of isolating exosomes that indicate disease.
IBM Researcher Joshua T. Smith ( and his team at IBM Research ( have developed this method, which requires a smaller blood sample than current, similar “lab on a chip” methods.
