The Slingshot Channel has an offcial project, to be finished in the summer of 2011: A car size slingshot cannon, firing boule balls and even shot put.
In order to test the design, a 1:10 scale model was built. The fully functional mini cannon is shown in this video, it shoots an 8 mm steel ball clean through both sides of a Red Bull can filled with water.
