The Dell XPS 13 has been one of our favorite laptops for the past few years now, and its newest iteration of the 13″ ultrabook, looks to build on that legacy with newer, quicker hardware. This XPS 13 features Intel’s 8th generation processor, but that’s really the only change–which isn’t a bad thing, but it isn’t exactly exciting either.
Looking at the design, the Dell XPS 13 is identical is the previous model; it features the same aluminum and carbon fiber chassis, the infinity display, and the same awkwardly placed webcam. It’s still has the same straightforward and minimal design, but some variety would have been nice for a change. The infinity display still remains one of the best on the market.
The star of the show, however, is Intel’s new Core i7 8550-u processor, which has boosted performance significantly from last year’s model. Although you shouldn’t expect much from the XPS 13 for gaming, it earns its worth through all day performance. With the new, faster Intel processor, the Dell XPS 13 is worth the upgrade.
