Q) You said that 1 thread takes up 1 CPU that doesn’t sound right?
A) What I meant to say was 1 thread takes up 1 core, so if you have a 4 core CPU one 1 thread will run on 1 core, multiple threads can also share the same core but a single thread cannot use more than one core.
