One gaming genre that is gaining increasing prominence at the moment is the battle royale mode. This mode receives instant recognition, thanks to strategic games like PUBG, Fortnite, GTA Online, Ark: Survival Evolved and H1Z1. It has managed to strike a chord with players at the moment, and game developers are coming up with their version of this mode. In a similar effort, Counter-Strike Global Offensive also appears to be in line to join the club of battle royale mode.

According to a report by PC Gamer, the latest patches of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive suggest that such an update is on its way. This news was first discovered by Valve News Network, who spoke about it in their latest video. Creator at Valve News Network found numerous references within each of the shooter’s updates scheduled to arrive for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive.

Some of the examples of shooter’s updates include bare-fisted combat, compound bows, adrenaline shots, sonar pulses, breach charges and MK2 grenades to name a few. These features have been consistent with battle royale genre of gaming in other favourite games.

Apart from this, Valve News Network even goes on to point out how the update consisted of mentions of de_canals and survival_island maps, whose mark remains somewhere above 1.20. This will undoubtedly make it pretty interesting as an overall view. The game developers of Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, however, haven’t confirmed the news as yet.

Other additional updates will come along the way for Counter-Strike: Global Offensive soon enough. It’s best that such information is taken with a grain of salt until official confirmation arrives.
