YP Systems is now manufacturing a CO2 fire extinguisher as part of its “Shobo Series”.
The “Shobo RESCUE”, which went on sale in October, is the world’s first fire extinguisher with three functions designed specifically for vehicle use and was adopted as a genuine accessory for the new model Odyssey.
Each product comes with a fire extinguishing function, a hammer to break door windows, and a cutter to cut through seatbelts, and these functions together make the “Shobo RESCUE” a dependable tool when in an emergency.
To use the SHOBO RESCUE as a fire extinguisher, you first remove the pin at the top and then spray from above. There is no need for messy clean up of extinguishing agents after the fire is extinguished and the extinguishing agent has no impact on electrical systems even when used on electrical equipment that is powered up. The fire extinguisher is also safe when used around living organisms because food additive grade CO2 is used as the fire extinguishing agent.
The manufacturer’s suggested retail price is 5,250 yen not including the separate installation fee.
