In a research project conducted by Siemens Corporate Technology, wind turbines learn to automatically fine-tune their operations to make the most of ever-changing weather conditions. The outstanding feature: Much like young sailors, the system learns to take a great deal of information into account in order to optimize settings. The benefits: increased power output and reduced wear and tear.
