Lisa Gade reviews the Chuwi Hi13, a Windows 2-in-1 convertible tablet that’s clearly inspired by Microsoft Surface Book. The Hi13 is much less expensive at approx. $420 for tablet, keyboard dock and pen, or $350 if you just want the tablet. It has a 13.5” IPS display running at 3,000 x 2,000 resolution and 3:2 aspect ratio, just like Surface products. The Hi13 has dual band WiFi 802.11ac, a 5MP rear camera, 2MP front camera and 4 speakers.

The tablet runs Windows 10 on the 1.1 GHz Intel Celeron N3450 “Apollo Lake” CPU with 4GB LPDDR3 RAM and 64GB eMMC flash storage. It has a USB-C port that’s used for charging, and it can handle DisplayPort out. The proprietary active pen offers good tracking with very little parallax and it has 1,024 levels of pressure sensitivity. Ports include USB-C, micro USB, micro HDMI, headphone and a microSD card slot. The keyboard dock adds two USB type A 2.0 ports.
