Three ships from the Chinese People’s Liberation Army Navy visited Pearl Harbor, Hawaii from September 6th through the 9th. The visiting ships are the Qingdao, a Luhu-class destroyer, the Linyi, Jiangkai-class frigate, and the Hongzehu, a Fuqing-class fleet oiler. The ships are in Pearl Harbor for a military-to-military relationship building port visit. The visit includes dialogue between senior leadership from both navies, social and recreational activities for Chinese sailors, and the capstone event, a search and rescue exercise off the coast of Oahu in which the two navies will work together.
