This brief animation shows a multi-wave length view of Cassiopeia A,
the remains of a massive star 11,000 light years away from Earth.
X-rays from NASA’s Chandra X-ray Observatory are shown in red, green
and blue along with optical data from the Hubble Space Telescope in
gold.
