Extra Battery:
I have a generic battery in my 60D and it works just fine. I’ll update this description after it comes, and let you all know if it’s worth it or not. 13 dollars and free shipping for an extra battery is not to shabby. The extra battery for my 60D was around that price, and it lasts just as long as the battery that came with the camera.
UPDATE: I got my battery several days ago (it now says unavailable on Amazon. Bummer!) and it lasts just as long as the official Canon battery, and was only a little over 10 bucks.
