Don’t be thrown by the price on the 3.8 oz Boker AK74. It’s cheap but it’s not cheaply made. Consider the AUS8 steel that holds a finely honed edge. The aluminum handle, while not higher quality 6000 or 7000 series, is tough and ergonomic. Jimping’s there and provides some traction as do the finger grooves. The pocket clip is overly large and goofy but carries deep. Speed when converted to auto function with a proper spring (as Blade HQ) does is superb. Lockup is not perfect but it rarely is in an auto. You will be hard pressed to score this quality in any other auto at this price.
