Blackberry Z30 Review Update A few weeks back we accepted a challenge from Blackberry – to swap out our iPhone 5 for a BlackBerry Z30 for 7 Days. Here is that video review –

Shortly after we released that video review, we were told that Verizon would be pushing an BB OS Upgrade to 10.2.1 that would deal with the “app gap” issue we had. Sure enough, we did get 10.2.1 and it was a significant enough update that we felt we needed to do a follow-up video.

While 10.2.1 has numerous features, the big one is direct support for Android apps. As we show in the video, it is now easy to get Netflix and other Android apps running on BB10 and thus the Z30.

Not every Android app will work, apps that require Google Play Service will probably not work, still it is a huge improvement over 10.2.0.

In this video we also wanted to cover some of the more advanced features of the BlackBerry Z30, which we did not cover in the first video. Things like USB OTG, BBM Groups and Miracast are covered in this video.

In the Z30 the phone you should get? Only you know that. Every one has different needs, so no one phone is perfect, but it is clear that the BlackBerry Z30, with the new OS upgrade, clearly deserves to be in the consideration.
