How to Turn the YouTube App’s Background Black

In this tutorial, I’ll be showing you how to black out the background image in the YouTube app for Android. Just make sure you’re rooted with the Xposed framework installed, and the rest is super easy. I’m demonstrating this with my Nexus 5, but it’ll work on any rooted Android device.
Not only does the mod make the YouTube app look a lot nicer, it can even save you a bit of battery life if you have a phone with an AMOLED display. Black pixels require no electricity on such display, so you’ll gain battery life that was otherwise wasted.
