While most tech companies invest about 10% of their revenue in research and development, Baidu, the chinese internet giant is proud to say that 15.4% of their income is invested in R&D. One of their latest products is Baidu Eye, their smart glasses. The device, which is in its prototype stage, was first shown to the world in early September, during an event called Baidu World Conference, held in Beijing, China. At that time, the gadget was only being displayed, without any hands-on. But Canaltech had the opportunity to be the first website on the planet to literally get its hands on Baidu Eye.
