Retired U.S. Army Captain Florent “Flo” Groberg was born in France in 1983 and became a naturalized U.S. citizen in 2001, the same year he graduated high school. He joined the U.S. Army in 2008, deployed to Afghanistan twice, and became the first immigrant in 40 years to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor after he saved many lives tackling a suicide bomber. He joined us at Amazon HQ to discuss his new book “8 Seconds of Courage: A Soldier’s Story from Immigrant to the Medal of Honor”.
