Lisa Gade reviews the Asus Zenbook UX301LA, aka the Zenbook Infinity. We look at the high end configuration of this already high end 3 lb. Ultrabook, with a 2.8GHz Intel Core i7-4558U 28-watt Intel Haswell CPU, Intel Iris 5100 graphics, 8 gigs of DDR3L RAM, and a 256 gig SSD (2 M.2 drives in RAID 0). The UX301 has a deep blue Gorilla Glass 3 lid and matte Gorilla Glass 3 keyboard deck, a superb 13.3″ Sharp IGZO 2560 x 1440 display with 10 point multi-touch and high color gamut, Intel dual band AC-7260 WiFi 802.11ac, Bluetooth 4.0 and a 6 cell, 50 wHr battery. If you could cram the brains and display of the 13″ Retina Mac into a MacBook Air, you’d have the Zenbook UX301 in the world of Windows 8. This config sells for $1999.
