Assassins Creed Origins introduces shields to its gameplay for the first time in franchise history! I think that these grooves cut out on the sides are linked to an interesting combat strategy. Watch the battle of Hector and Achilles in the movie Troy and you’ll see!
Now, there’s limited historical information on this subject so I hope the game developers and Hollywood have done their homework. We built one using the cheapest materials we could find then put it to the test using some of our previous gadgets!
This shield design can be used for melee strikes, disarming your foe, throwing them off balance by catching their shield / sword, breaking spears, breaking through wooden / plastic shields.
I’m excited to see what kind of gadgets the new Assassins Creed Origin’s game unveils!
