Augmented reality is finally changing the way architects design buildings. For years, architects used to make tiny models of the buildings to show their clients, and to get a feel for how their designs would look in the real world. That’s pretty retro! This architect is using Microsoft’s augmented reality headset HoloLens to bring his designs from the screen to physical models. That’s pretty futuro! Futuro-architect can pick up buildings like a superhero and hold them in his fingers. Imagine the convenience. Imagine the feeling of immense power.

The user can even go inside the interior of a virtual building for a more immersive experience. Pedestrians and vehicles can be projected into the environment to see the scale of the buildings. It’s about as real as buildings get without actually building the buildings.
