Anatomy Of A Master Killer: Amur Tiger – Earth Unplugged

Published on June 11, 2017

Warning: This video contains graphic imagery of a tiger dissection which some viewers may find distressing. If this video does not sound suitable for you, why not check out a series of videos about wild Amur tigers, that has been released on our sister channel BBC Earth

For this project we teamed up with experts from National Museums Scotland to look at the anatomy of an Amur tiger. She was an old female, euthanased after acute kidney failure. She was from a sanctuary and was dissected as part of an extensive research programme, looking into captive welfare in big cats.

If you have any questions about the film, do let us know in the comments below and we’ll endeavour to answered them.
