01-14-2014 – Two people were killed when a air ambulance on the way to a car accident wrecked by Sollihøgda. A third person, a 51 year old man, was taken by another ambulance helicopter to Ullevål hospital.

The crew member who was flown to Ullevål hospital should have been aware and awake, but has reportedly sustained serious, extensive injuries, including multiple fractures.

– It is with great sadness we confirm that two of those who were on board the medical helicopter were killed. The next of kin have been notified, writes Norwegian Air Ambulance in a statement.

The helicopter was a Eurocopter EC 135 P2 + and has a crew of three people: a doctor, an emergancy worker and pilot.

An ambulance helicopter has crashed en route to the scene of a road accident, killing two people on board. The accident occurred about 25 kilometres (15 miles) west of the capital Oslo, when one of its helicopters was landing near a main highway where a truck had overturned. It appears to have hit some power-lines while landing.
